Tour of Kauffman Museum in North Newton. The Kauffman Museum houses an extensive collection of wildlife taxidermy and study specimens, centered around the collection of Charles Kauffman (1882-1961). Much of the collection is over 100 years old and is among the largest of its kind in Kansas. Meet at the Kauffman Museum, 2801 N. Main St., North Newton, KS at 10 am. There is a modest entrance fee. Early risers are welcome to join the monthly bird walk that Kauffman conducts each month, that begins at 8 am in the Kauffman parking lot. Leader: Kauffman Museum staff and volunteers.
