Program Meeting – “Cerrado, The Kansas of Brazil,” by Rachel Roth

February 15 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Like a typical big sister, the Amazon Rainforest has been overshadowing one of Brazil’s most biodiverse and incredible landscapes: her little sister, the Cerrado. This savanna birthed 5% of the planet’s plant and animal species, and it’s in far greater danger than the Amazon. Rachel Roth, co-founder of Grassland Groupies, will show you why the vibrant birdlife, dynamic ecology, and truly unique residents make it easy to fall in love with Brazil’s “flat” and “boring” grassland heart.

We plan to have this program live at the Great Plains Nature Center. It will also be live-streamed on Facebook  and a recording will be available after the meeting on Facebook and on YouTube.
