Focus on FISH: “Marvelous Miniatures of the Ark River” at Chaplin Nature Center

July 20 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Join us for this hands-on opportunity to learn all about the fishes that call the Arkansas River home! This program will begin with a short indoor presentation on the fishes of the Arkansas River and Kansas as a whole, with special focus on the many “miniature” species found here. Following the presentation, join us as we hike down to the river to see these species for ourselves! We will be using nets and other tools to carefully catch, identify and release fish- so participants should come prepared to get wet and sandy!

Exact times and dates may be subject to change, so please call ahead to verify or or check our facebook page for the most recent updates. For more information, please call the Center at (620) 442-4133.
